Description

These Summit Marauder 125 cm Skiboards Gloss Salomon Z11 Bindings are built for all possibilities.  With a wide body platform and traditional camber, these twin tip skiboards are built for speed and charging it all day long. As with all Summits, these are handcrafted one pair at a time with extreme attention to detail.  Die-cut sintered bases ensure the perfect frictionless glide (sintered is chosen for maximum wax absorption). The Marauders feature a custom painted silk-screened top sheet and is covered by a high gloss topsheet with UV coating.

Designed for true all mountain riding, the Summit Marauder 125 cm Skiboards Gloss are at home anywhere in the resorts including those breathtaking steep chutes, moguls or flying through the glades. Symmetrical twin tips beg for playtime in the parks. These are also great for the backcountry and make perfect ascent skis – lots of floatation, yet so much easier to turn as compared to longer skis.

Do they carve? The parabolic sidecut functions impeccably with the northern birch vertically laminated wood core to deliver effortless, lay-it-over carves and the stability at speed will totally amaze you. The Marauders feature a high energy wood core sandwiched between two layers of fiberglass providing just the right combination of flex and torsional stiffness. Rubber dampening layer absorbs shock.   An additional layer of Kevlar is is added for not only extra strength and impact resistance, but super long durability that maintains the energetic pop in the skiboards.

Recommended for: intermediate, advanced to expert riders.  These Marauders are the most advanced of the Summit Lineup, truly taking you past the limits of your riding potential.

Perfect for: keeping up with and passing skiers and snowboarders, providing excellent speed and smooth carving. Excellent on hardpack and ice as well as powder and soft snow. These provide access to backcountry and off trail, as well as hitting the chutes, terrain parks and ripping groomed runs. These are quite versatile.

Bindings:

One unique thing about the Marauder 125 skiboards is that they accommodate a full range of binding options, including the Salomon Z11 High performance Release bindings or the Technine Custom Pro DS Snowboard Bindings or use your own snowboard bindings. In addition, the Marauder 125 features 4 stainless steel inserts to easily accept the snowboard bindings.

We pre-mount release bindings for you and include free wide brakes.

Salomon Z11 High Performance Bindings:

Salomon Z11 High Performance Ski Bindings with 115mm brakes are perfect for all mountain recreational skiboarders. Lightweight, performance full ski bindings with brakes. These come premounted. Features controlled release for backward fall protection. For intermediate to advanced riders. DIN setting: 3.5-11. Fits boots shell size US 260 – 380mm (approx 4-14 US).
Salomon’s vertical progressive pivot offers a controlled release which in turn gives you protection and confidence to heighten your speed and fun. High lateral transmission gives you more precision and more control over your skiboards with better overall performance. Heavy duty construction with a full range of boot size adjustments. Z11 is a great choice for modern freeride and all-mountain skiboards. Low stand height for increased terrain feedback and enhanced power transmission.

Salomon bindings are designed to allow full flex of the skiboards. This offers significant advantages over fixed, non-release bindings as well as riser plates mounted with ski bindings.

Construction

ABS Sidewall Construction: Crafted with ABS sidewall construction, the Marauder construction provides many advantages over cap construction. Among these advantages are increased torsional stability, greater edge protection, enhanced power transfer to the edges, improved vibration dampening, greater strength and a full length flex from tip to tail. Translated, these will ride like no other skiboards you have ridden.

Traditional Camber: Camber produces stable footing at high speed with maximum edge grip, being able to tackle early morning groomed to East Coast ice without effort. This means smooth carving edges that you can trust when you need it the most.

Wood core: vertically laminated birch wood core runs the full length of the skiboards, tip to tail, providing a highly responsive energy as well as greater long term durability. The wood is Northern Hemisphere birch which is very light, yet super strong. Colder temperatures create wood that is denser, thus super strong, while being very light in weight. This is why we choose wood from the Northern Hemisphere.

360 full wrap Rockwell carbon steel edges: protects your skiboards from those unexpected dings while providing superior edge grip. Edges are sand blasted prior to assembly to ensure a perfect, secure fit.

Wide Body Shape: a large skiboard surface area for maximum stability, floatation and speed.

Symmetrical Twin-tips: makes it easier to ride forwards as well as backwards. Excellent handling in the parks and pipes. Also, makes for the most perfect carves.

Die-Cut Sintered bases: this is one of the best base materials for durability, maximum wax absorption and speed. These p-tex 4000 bases have less friction and thus more speed as well as less vulnerability to abrasion and impacts.

3D Carbonium Top Sheet: one of the strongest top sheets available (and very rare) that not only offers amazing top sheet protection from those potential dings and chips, but allows the sharp graphics to show through in all their detail. Includes UV protective layer.

Sidewall bevel: sidewalls are angled to further protect the top sheet from dings and chips.

Base bevel 1 degree and side bevel of 89 degrees: great for carving with ease. These aggressive edges are great for ice, and lay it over carving.
