I understand that skiboarding, like skiing and snowboarding, is a HAZARDOUS sport which present risks of injury or death, and I freely and voluntarily assume those risks. Please read our Terms and Conditions.
I understand and agree that certain risks of skiboarding may be reduced, but not entirely eliminated, by taking lessons, by following “YOUR RESPONSIBILITY CODE” which is posted at most winter sports areas and by using care and common sense. I further understand that a runaway prevention system (leashes for non-release bindings/brakes for release bindings) must be used with all skiboards at all times on ski slopes, including while riding lifts and while carrying them on or near a slope, in order to reduce the risk of injury to others.
Non-release Skiboard Bindings:
I understand and agree that skiboarding involves INHERENT RISKS which can result in serious personal injury or death. I also understand and agree that certain binding systems are not designed or intended to release such as snowboard bindings and non-release skiboard bindings and that any risk of non-release is an inherent risk of skiboarding. I hereby freely agree to assume and accept any and all risks of injury while using this equipment.
Releaseable Skiboard Bindings:
I also understand that the ski-boot-binding system is designed to release the boot from the ski when certain forces on the system reach preset values, but that the binding WILL NOT RELEASE OR RETAIN at all times where release or retention may prevent injury, and that it CANNOT prevent all injuries to any part of the user’s body. I understand and agree that injuries due to unwanted release or retention are inherent risks of skiing.
I understand how the ski-boot-binding system works, and I agree that it is my responsibility to know how to properly use the equipment and obtain necessary instruction. If I feel the equipment is not functioning properly, I will stop using it and have it inspected, repaired or adjusted by a qualified technician.
