Summit Invertigo 118cm 3D Rocker/Camber Skiboards.  Features include a unique combination of 15% Rocker front tip, 80% traditional camber and 5% rocker tail.

Description

The new Summit Invertigo ST 118cm 3D Rocker/Camber Skiboards feature a unique combination of 15% Rocker front tip, 80% traditional camber and 5% rocker tail. Riding through soft snow is an almost effortless ride, feels more like surfing! This unique combination of rocker tips and tails with traditional camber delivers super fast turn initiation, a short turning radius thanks to the rocker tips and tails, yet offers amazing edge grip on hard pack and ice, making it even easier to carve from one edge to the other. As well, this combination also gives you multiple sweet spots to explore throughout the length of the skiboards for endless playtime!

This is the original “One Skiboard Does It All Design”. The Summit Invertigo 118 skiboards are equally at home on hard pack/ice, moguls, glades, cruising the groomed runs, terrain parks or, yes, floating through powder with ease. The Summit Invertigo 118cm ST 3D Rocker/Camber Skiboards are designed to be the ultimate “fun” skiboard, Though 118 cm in length, these have the feel of something much shorter, more like a 99 cm in how fast they turn. Yet ride with the speed of something much longer. The tip-to-tail Northern Birch/poplar wood core provides a super smooth flex allowing you to truly enjoy your ride every time coupled with the wide body construction and fast sintered bases that offer surprising speed. The Invertigo’s are true all mountainall condition skiboards. AND if you are lucky enough to get those perfect blue sky days with untracked powder days, these are the ones you want to be riding. ST designates the Smoke Blue design.

The rocker/camber design brings a new evolution of performance to skiboards, fast and yet so incredibly easy to turn.  The early rise tail dramatically increases the skis maneuverability, while maintaining directional stability for high speed charging. With traditional camber, you get amazing edge grip on ice/hardpack. Rocker tip/tail design provides easier riding transitions in powder, clumps of snow and slush, tending to ride up and over while preventing tips  from digging in. Rocker design also allows more control with slightly shorter turn radius for easier steering and stopping. These will definitely bring a smile to your face all the way down the run.

These are constructed with a custom 3D Carbonium top sheet that provides amazing durability, yet allows the graphics to pop without distortion. These look so much better in person than we can portray on the web. They look somewhat like carbon fiber weaves.

Yes, these feature symmetrical twin tips (for those who love to ride or land jumps backwards). This also makes turn initiation even easier, especially combined with the early rise tips and tails.

Recommended for: Intermediate to expert riders.

Great for: Adventurers! These excel in powder and soft snow, big mountain riding, cruising on the open runs (be it intermediate or advanced), backcountry and basically anything you care to do. There are truly no limits with the Summit Invertigo 118cm 3D Rocker/Camber Skiboards 2020.

Here is what one person has to say: “I have now been on these boards for more than 10 days.  All I can say is wow!!! These 118’s had no problem handling the hard pack and even the ice.  Didn’t chatter once on the ice or steeps.  In the deeper snow the Invertigo’s rode high and kept me on the surface so I could enjoy the soft snow and feel in complete control all the way down.  I have been Skiboarding for more than 15 years.  These are by far the best boards I have ever used.  Just a complete all mountain performance leaving you with nothing but a smile each and every run.” Mike J.

Construction

Rocker/Camber Design: a unique combination of Rocker/Camber construction — 15% rocker in front with 4 mm rise, 5% rear with 4 mm rise and 80% traditional camber with 2 mm rise. This makes for super easy turn initiation, excellent float in powder, a very short turn radius and provides stable carving at speed.

ABS Sidwall Construction: Crafted with ABS sidewall construction, the Rocker 118 construction provides many advantages over cap construction. Among these advantages are increased torsional stability, greater edge protection, enhanced power transfer to the edges, improved vibration dampening, greater strength and a full length flex from tip to tail. Translated, these will ride like no other skiboards you have ridden.

Wood Core: vertically laminated, hand selected cold temperature birch wood core runs the full length of the skiboards, tip to tail. This provides a lighter weight, yet superior strength. The benefit of Northern Hemisphere Birch is that the colder temperatures cause the trees to grow at a slower pace, thus creating a denser, yet lighter wood. As a result, the birch wood core is very light, yet super strong and durable. Cores are vertically laminated for extra strength. The high energy, lively wood core is sandwiched between two top layers of triaxial fiberglass (new layer added this season) for torsional strength and a layer of triaxial fiberglass underneath. An additional layer of Kevlar is is added for not only extra strength and impact resistance, but super long durability that maintains the energetic pop in the skiboards. These skiboards offer just the right combination of flex and torsional stiffness providing a super smooth ride without the chatter no matter how much you lay it over. In addition, a rubber dampening layer is included to absorb vibrations while still allowing maximum road feel.

360 full wrap Rockwell carbon steel edges: protects your skiboards from those unexpected dings while providing superior edge grip. Edges are sand blasted prior to assembly to ensure a perfect, secure fit.

Wide Body Shape: a large skiboard surface area for maximum stability, floatation and speed.

Symmetrical Twin Tips: makes it easier to ride forwards as well as backwards. Excellent handling in the parks and pipes. Also, makes for the most perfect carves.

Die Cut Sintered Bases: this is one of the best base materials for durability, maximum wax absorption and speed. These p-tex 4000 bases have less friction and thus more speed as well as less vulnerability to abrasion and impacts.

3D Carbonium Top Sheet: one of the strongest top sheets available (and very rare) that not only offers amazing top sheet protection from those potential dings and chips, but allows the sharp graphics to show through in all their detail. Includes UV protective layer.

Aluminum reinforcement layer: provides extra retention for release bindings, yet not adding weight and does not influence flex in any way. Adds to enhanced edge grip.
Sidewall bevel: sidewalls are angled to further protect the top sheet from dings and chips.

Edge bevel: 1 degree base and side bevel of 88 degrees: great for carving with ease. These aggressive edges are great for ice, and lay it over carving.

My wife and I have been using your skiboards this season and absolutely loving them. We’ve managed to get to the ski fields for a total of 14 days so far this year and these boards just feel so good that they’re our go-to option every time!
I swapped to boards 2 seasons ago with some old Blizzard Yahoo 120’s and Canon H7’s I bought on Ebay and had so much fun that I sold my  long skis but the Summit Invertigos and NRG’s are really Next Level and the early boards just stay in the garage now. We’re confident skiers but these Summit rockers make getting down a mountain so much fun that we’re skiing terrain we would never have tried before. These things give you almost total control and make skiing easy. They stop and turn on a dime and they handle anything and everything you point them at whether its groomed, chopped up, icy or powder – no problems. We’ve been approached by so many total strangers (both snow boarders and skiers) who’ve watched us enjoying ourselves and wanted to know where they can get some boards to try so hopefully our rave reviews send some customers your way.

Summit Invertigo 118 cm, rockered cambered. What can I say but absolutely amazing. I have skied these on ice at Lutsen Minnesota, light powder and awesomely groomed at Granite Peak in Wisconsin, Powder Mountain and Snowbasin ice and crud in Utah, and Whitefish Montana in amazing powder and grooming. All I can say is great hold and stability, easy to turn, plows and floats through everything – powder and crud and holds on ice and carve, carve, carve, on and off piste and skid for fun too. I have RVL8 KTPs 101 cm and Tanshos 90 cm, Twoowt Swoons and Crenations 100 cm, Head Big Easy 94 cm and Summit CRZ 106 cm rockered – cambered – all are great boards. But these Invertigos are the cream of the crop. These are my all mountain all condition skiboards. I am also very appreciative of the demo type bindings, you can easily slide them forward for groomer days or back for powder and crud to increase float. That’s a no brainer. And for travel you can remove them in seconds. Turning radius of 9.5, seriously it turns as easy as the Head Big Easy 94 cm with a turn radius of 3.5. And these things are very fast, my buddies on their big boy skis can hardly keep up. And I can get through the mogels with relative ease (they can’t). I have quite a bit of knee pain from various injuries but these things make skiing a joy with minimal discomfort. Here is my take. Probably one of the best if not the best skiboard around. A great value. A great all mountain and all condition board. I’m actually going to buy a second pair for family and friends to try. Don’t hesitate. Get this skiboard. You won’t be sorry. 10/2018 (Unsolicited review).

I don’t get used to it, they are only useful off-piste, just to play, I wished hagan off limits 130 but it was sould out

Javier. Sorry about your experience. I have ridden both and find the Invertigo 118 to be better off piste yet also better performing on piste. The difference though is the narrower profile on Hagans make it feel more ski like and thus a quick response edge to edge. However, the Invertigo just requires a little more lean to get on edge so they perform. Without that, it feels like they would not turn. So basically on piste, get them on edge and you will find a new level of performance over narrower models. Doc
