Description
A new design, introducing the Summit CRZ-Trick 106 cm 3D Full Rocker Skiboards. These CRZ 106 reverse camber skiboards, are designed for terrain parks, powder, and playtime on the mountain. Having a profile like hockey skates or water skis, these are made for ease of use, with distinct advantages for beginners, park riders or those who get to enjoy full powder days. For skaters and hockey players, these provide an immediate transfer of your skate skills to the slopes. These truly zip around. Also great with snow dancing as well as moguls.
The Summit CRZ (“Cruise”) 106 skiboards offer a unique full rocker design. What does this mean? It means riding through soft snow is an almost effortless ride, feeling more like surfing! This unique full rocker design delivers fast turn initiation, a super short turning radius as if riding something even shorter, that allows super short turn radius.

This Full Rocker/Reverse Camber combination also gives you multiple sweet spots to explore throughout the length of the skiboards. These rockered skiboards feature 4 stainless steel insert allowing the use of Snowboard bindings like the Technine Custom Pro DS Snowboard Bindings. These can also be mounted with release bindings like the Atomic L10 or FFG 12 bindings. We premount the release bindings for you and include free wide brakes. (read more about different bindings)
These Summit CRZ-Trick 106 cm 3D Full Rocker Skiboards are full symmetrical twin tips (for those who love to ride or land jumps backwards). The tip-to-tail Northern Birch/poplar wood core provides a super smooth flex allowing you to truly enjoy your ride every time coupled with the wide body construction and fast sintered bases that offer surprising speed. These will definitely bring a smile to your face all the way down the run. Ready to play?

“David is a hockey player too and he liked the updated description of the Summit 106’s. We took them out last weekend and he said they spin easier than any of his other skiboards. He really likes them. Obviously we’re keeping them now. We’re not really cruisers, more all over the mountain kinda people.” Thanks! Jodi
“We had them out on a powder day Sunday at Sugarbush VT. Super test for them. They rode awesome in the medium bumps…. Super quick turns and very responsive… wasn’t sure how they would, but in the end I was very impressed. Rode awesome for me (a seasoned skiboarder) but for a first time skiboarder they were awesome. They rode them one day and want to buy a pair – training the next generation of riders!!” Mike Juron

“More than anything else the riding experience was what converted me into a believer. I hadn’t skiid in quite some time so my first run of the day started at the bunny hill. How were these things going to work? About 30 seconds later at the bottom of the hill I immediately knew that I was ready for more, much more. The learning process was effortless and all my skating experience meant I already knew what to do. We moved onto a few green runs and I was flying past people who were learning to Ski. By the end of the first day I found myself going down blue runs cutting off the path, going through trees and fresh powder. The turning radius allowing me to carve between trees effortlessly and have the most fun I have ever had on the side of a mountain. It only got better from there. By the end of the 4th day I wasn’t ready to stop. I felt confident enough to tackle pretty much any run that I saw. I spent 3 days snowboarding last year and by the 3rd day I felt confident enough to try and link my turns. By the end of the first day on skiboards I was trying to do 180s and get some air. I really can’t express how easy it was to learn and how much fun I was having. Granted I have years of rollerblading (some park riding) and ice skating experience but I’m confident anyone could pick it up quickly.” Graeme Roberts

This includes free mounting. L10 bindings feature: DIN range of 3-10. Twin pivot. Toe height adjustment. Adjustments can be done by hand and fits ski boot sizes 261-384 mm (approximately US size 4 – 14 U.S.).
Technine Custom Pro DS Snowboard Bindings: These were designed by us to work perfectly with skiboards, while allowing you the comfort of using snowboard boots on your skiboards. For 4 years running now, these have a proven track record of skiboard performance with snowboard boots. The Custom Snowboard bindings feature 3 padded rachet straps to hold you in place when carving. This allows a more stable interface between boots and bindings. The benefit of this is maximum power transfer to your skiboard edges with no lag. This has always been a problem UNTIL NOW!! Includes two Quick Leashes and Summit Snowboard Binding Riser Kit. Fits snowboard boot sizes 7-14 US.
Use your own Snowboard Bindings and Boots. All you need is to add these “without bindings” and purchase the Snowboard Bindings Adaptor Kit for maximum performance.
Note: While there are currently no specific guidelines or laws preventing the use of non-release bindings on skiboards even up to 140cm, the longer length skiboards when used with non-release bindings do increase the risk of injury. Should you choose to use non-release bindings you do so at your own risk knowing full well that there is the chance.Read more about skiboard bindings.

CRZ 106cm TRick Skiboard review
Background:
I recently rented a pair of Summit CRZ-Trick 106cm Full Rocker 3D Skiboards for a trip to Summit County Colorado. We skied (and skiboarded!) at a few different mountains (A-Basin, Keystone, Copper Mountain) across 4 days. These are my initial impressions regarding the skiboards themselves, the rental process, what it was like riding and my overall experience. Spoiler alert, I loved them! I have had minimal skiing experience and a little bit of snowboarding experience in the past but never felt confident on either. I usually spent more time trying not to fall down or run into anything than I did enjoying myself. After seeing someone Skiboarding past me (seemingly effortlessly) while I was attempting to Snowboard I decided to look into them online. I finally decided to pull the trigger and give them a chance when I learned that my years of rollerblading and ice skating skills could give me a leg up in Winter sports.
Rental Process:
The rental process and overall customer service from Skiboards.com was fantastic! They were responsive to all of my questions and the entire process was easy. They helped me decide which Skiboards would be the best fit based upon my experience and desired usage. The boards arrived at my hotel promptly and were well packaged and protected. I was ready to hit the mountains right on time. The return process was quite simple, simply repackage the boards in the box they came in and afix the included return shipping label. Overall no complaints and would definently recommend renting if you are on the fence about a purchase since you can apply your rental costs to a purchase if you decide you want to get a pair after your rental period.
Board Quality:
The boards themselves felt and looked high-quality. They have a solid construction featuring a wooden-core, beautiful looking top sheet and fully tuned edges ready to carve. Overall great looking, great feeling and a high-quality product.
Bindings:
I chose to go with the premounted Atomic ski bindings for my peace of mind. I know that you can theoretically use non-release bindings with skiboards due to their shorter length but I wasn’t willing to risk my knees to the concept. The mounted bindings needed adjusted on the pair I rented but that a quick 2-minute fix at any tuning shop (or yourself if you have the know-how) and performed wonderfully.
Riding Experience:
More than anything else the riding experience was what converted me into a believer. I hadn’t skiid in quite some time so my first run of the day started at the bunny hill. How were these things going to work? About 30 seconds later at the bottom of the hill I immediatly knew that I was ready for more, much more. Granted I have years of rollerblading (some park riding) and ice skating experience but I’m confident anyone could pick it up quickly.
Performance:
The specific skiboards I rented market themselves as a trick board and while I’m sure the limit could be pushed much further, and I intent to do just that in the future I can say they performed admirably. I was successfully going off small-jumps doing 180s by the end of the 4 days as well as various other skating like tricks. I felt like and agile and the dual-tipped design allowed effortless backwards skiing. The boards were flexible enough to tackle mogul like terrain without sacrificing stability at speed and I can confirm they can glide over fresh powder as well.
Polves vs No Poles:
On their website they say most poeple don’t feel like they need poles. I never felt like I needed poles while riding, however after the end of the first day I was kind of wishing I had a pair. The only reason being lift lines. You can move on skiboards (similar to skis) without poles by pushing your feet outward like you would do on ice skates. The problem here is that most lift lines corral people together to fit you into the chair and you don’t have room to kick your feet out. This led to me attempting to kick my feet out with minimal room and having the boards colliding quite a bit – which I mention because that beautiful top sheet I mentioned earlier wasn’t looking quite as beautiful by the end of the day. I had no problem keeping the boards from colliding while going down the mountain or on the chairlift but lines were a pain and I was heartbroken from everytime a scrape or cut occured due to a board collision. Collapsable poles which are mentioned seem to be a great compromise here that would hopefully eliminate this frustration.
Recommended?
I highly recommend anyone even remotely interested in skiboarding try it, whether you be a frustrated Skier / snowboarder fed up with trying to learn, a hopeful skater looking to utilize your skills, or simply someone looking to try something new and have a blast doing it. I plan on getting my own pair after this rental and have already bought my season pass lift tickets for next year in anticipation! The folks at Summit Skiboards were great to work with and deserve your business!
