Constructed in our factory in France with the same craftsmanship used with the Custom 110, these symmetrical twin tip high performance skiboards are made for all mountain riding. Handcrafted, one pair at a time, with extreme attention to detail, this season's Summit Nomad 99cm features a choice of two distinct top sheets - Aluminum fiber and Carbon fiber. These top sheets offer an additional layer of torsional stiffness, are truly eye catching and highly durable. The top sheets also offer greater energy and responsiveness than traditional top sheets while adding to the smooth flexing ride. Carbon fiber topsheets, aeronautical quality, are rare these days as this type of carbon is so hard to find (but we found it). The carbon fiber top sheets offer slighty greater torsional stiffness yet are lighter than the aluminum fiber. The fiberglass layers were adjusted to match the flex between the two, so the ride is similar no matter what you choose.

The Summit Nomad 99 is designed with an aggressive parabolic sidecut which was constructed to function impeccably with the solid poplar-hickory combo wood core to deliver almost effortless carves and will hold an edge no matter how hard you charge it. The high energy, lively wood core is sandwiched between two layers of fiberglass (triaxial underneath and biaxial on top) providing just the right combination of flex and torsional stiffness that offers an incredibly smooth ride. A layer of vibrachoc makes for additional smooth riding, absorbing those bumps, but allowing maximum road feel. Top sheets are not just for looks, but offer an additional layer of flex and torsional stability to complete the package.

As for ride, just think about turning and you are into a carve. Smooth, rock solid performance and incredible stability at speed, a result of the quality inner materials and sidewall construction, provide a ride like no other 99cm ever on the market. Crafted with sidewall construction, the Nomad provides many advantages over cap construction. Among these advantages are increased torsional stability, greater edge protection, enhanced power transfer to the edges, additional vibration dampening, greater strength and reinforce the full length flex from tip to tail.

Being crafted one pair at a time, great attention has been given to every detail, including making sure the flex is evenly distributed throughout the length of the skiboards. This consistent tip to tail flex brings a new level of carving to skiboards, whether in glove dragging lay it over carves or ripping the moguls. Designed for all mountain riding, these hand crafted skiboards are at home anywhere in the resorts including those breath taking steep chutes or flying through the glades. The wide body platform delivers great floatation in the deep stuff, offering awesome performance for something this size. You can lean hard on the back tails and they are going to support you, a true comfort to know during those deep powder days. Edges hold even on ice.

Summit Nomad 99cm skiboards feature black graphite sintered bases - highly durable bases that allow for maximum wax absorption to ensure a smooth glide, while offering the ability to attain speeds that are truly impressive. In addition, black bases are easier to repair dings or gouges and bring them back to new looking condition. In contrast, printed bases are much more difficult to hide repairs.

These symmetrical twin tips were designed for ease of riding whether forwards or backwards or just spinning down the mountain and making yourself dizzy! No mass produced skiboards can compare to the smooth ride of these Nomads, no matter what you choose to do on the slopes. To complete the package, special carbon steel edges are integrated into the design as well as 4 stainless steel inserts in a centered position for maximum flexibility to position your bindings the way you choose to ride.

Designed for all mountain riding, these skiboards were made to perform whether charging the steeps, hucking cliffs, flying in the parks or just having a fun day on the slopes. Recommended for advanced to expert riders and for intermediate riders who are ready to take a quantum leap in their ability level.

Recommended Bindings: Step-in Release:
• Spruce Mountain Risers/C509 Bindings (fits 4 hole insert mount).
• Tyrolia SLD-12 Release Bindings allow full flex of the skiboards (come with free mounting) and allow 3 way boot center adjustment on the fly. Come with wide brakes.

The Nomad 99cm can be mounted with non-release bindings as well such as the Snowjam Extreme II or Bomber Elite bindings. NOTE: While there are currently no specific guidelines or laws preventing the use of non-release bindings on skiboards even up to 140cm, the longer length skiboards when used with non-release bindings do increase the risk of injury. Should you choose to use non-release bindings with the Nomad, you do so at your own risk knowing full well that there is the chance of serious injury.

Bomber Elite Skiboard Bindings are recommended for those seeking maximum performance as the Elite bindings bring out the full potential of these skiboards. Note that these are non-release bindings. (4 hole mount). Extreme II bindings are a great, more affordable alternative with all aluminum construction including toe levers. (4 hole mount)

Construction Details Summary:
• Wood core: specially laminated hand selected poplar-hickory wood core runs the full length of the skiboards, tip to tail, providing a highly responsive energy as well as greater long term durability. 1mm layer of vibrachoc for for vibration dampening.
• Centered stance: 4 stainless steel inserts are centered within each skiboard, in a standard 40 X 40mm skiboard binding mount pattern. A centered stance gives you greater flexibility in customizing your preferred riding position. This also increases the retention strength of the bindings and allows for quick and accurate mounting, making it easy to interchange with other 4 hole pattern bindings.
• 360 full wrap Rockwell carbon steel edges, protects your skiboards from those unexpected dings while providing superior edge grip. Edges are sand blasted prior to assembly to ensure a perfect, secure fit.
• Wide Body Shape: a large skiboard surface area for maximum stability, floatation and speed.
• Symmetrical Twin-tips: Makes it easier to ride forwards as well as backwards (fakie). Excellent handling in the parks and pipes. Also, makes for the most perfect carves.
• Aluminum fiber or carbon fiber top sheet to provide lightness with increased torsional stability and smooth flex. Carbon fiber is 3k, 245 grams.
• Graphite Sintered bases: This is one of the best base materials for durability, maximum wax absorption and speed. The p-tex base material is reinforced with 15% carbon and graphite. These bases have less friction and thus more speed as well as less vulnerability to abrasion and impacts. The Black graphite sintered bases are much easier to repair dings or gouges and bring them back to original looking condition. In contrast, printed bases are much more difficult to hide any repairs.
• Duraclear top cover with screen printed graphics.

Tuning: All Summit Nomad 99cm skiboards come with factory wax, are fully tuned and ready to ride. We recommend using the Skiboards.com Tune kit to maintain your skiboards in optimal condition. For those of you who like to spin down the mountain, detuning edges is recommended.
