Alpina Reviews:
About a year ago I was visiting Bear Mountain. During this time I was on a
snowboard, or should I say "struggling" on a snowboard.
It never worked for me and plus my feet were too big for my board so I had
to rent a board everytime. So at the end of that year I decided to try
skiing. It was fun and pretty easy for about the first 30 minutes. Then it
just got ridiculous because it is the same thing over and over again. Right.
Left. Right. Left. No fun at all. So around the time that I was skiing, I
spotted someone who had "mini skis." When I returned home I researched these
mini skis forever! Until I came across "Skiboards.com." I knew that I had a
ski trip with a couple of my friends coming up soon so I decided to try
skiboards. I came across the Alpina 77cm in the Skiboard Wizard and decided
to buy them. And may I add that these are THE GREATEST THINGS ON THE PLANET
EARTH!! I had some skiing experience before so I knew how to stop and turn
right away. My friends decided to take me to a blue for the first run, and I
almost peed my pants. It looks sooooo steep from the top of the slope. But I
made it and went down so gracefully that I looked almost pro. The Alpina's
have incredible manuverability and stopping. By my fourth run I was on a
black and going off jumps I was too scared to do with skis or a snowboard. I
give the Alpina 77cm's a million thumbs up. One of my favorite things to do
on my skiboards are spins on the ground. I think my best is a 2160 and then
I fell. I get asked all of the time about my "trick skis" in the lift lines
and I just point at the sticker on my skiboards that says "Skiboards.com."
Thank you Skiboards.com

I used my Alpina skiboards that I got from here last weekend. They are SO
much fun. I almost fell this one time, but some how i got a grip of my self
and did a complete 360 instead of falling. Even though it happened by
accident, It was cool. Turning and stopping was a breeze compared to skis.

I bought a pair of Alpina 77cm skiboards and had to drop you
an email. I have just started skiing (this year was my first full year)
and I never felt comfortable with "the long sticks". These were just the
ticket. The Alpina ski boards took me from an uncomfortable blue hill
skier to a "look for every black diamond hill" skier. At the end of the
first day with them I was doing tight 360's down diamond hills. My only
regret is that I didn't have them at the beginning of this year. I only
got to use them the last time I went out. I am buying the rest of my
family a set. Also I would like to say the thing that worried me most
was the fact that the bindings don't release, but I found out that it is
not an issue if you fall they are not awkward to get up from like the
big sticks.

Well,I had read all the reports on your site, and being a total beginner, I
was a bit scared. I had never been on skis before, just on snowboards for
8 years. Well what can I say - 2 runs, Yes, 2 runs only and I was away.
My skiboards (Alpina 77cm) are amazing and easy to pick up. This was
definitely the best investment in snow equipment since my first board years ago.

Dear Skiboards.com,
I purchased a pair of Alpina 77cm Skiboards. I have used them about
five times now, and I really enjoy them. I enjoy the sturdiness and how
well they respond to turning.

I was totally stoked on these skiboards. I've tried other skiboards before
but, these were the best I've used so far. They carved great through
powder and even when I went on ice on the slopes, they handled great.
They have the wide body frame which makes them a lot easier to land those
hard to land tricks. I think these are some of the best skiboards out
there.
Thanks,
Robert
